More Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Success for Uncle Mo

It was another successful Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale session for Uncle Mo on Tuesday when his filly out of Cara Marie was purchased for $625,000 by Taylor Creek.

Offered by Taylor Made Sales, the filly bred by China Horse Club is a full sister to the Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Girl Daddy with their dam also winning a stakes and finishing third in a Grade II during her career. Cara Marie is one of three stakes performers for Miss Kilroy, whose daughters have also produced Grade II winner Ludy Lucia and Grade III winner Comica among the eight stakes performers under Miss Kilroy’s daughters.

Cara Marie returned to Uncle Mo this year for a full sibling to the yearling and Girl Daddy.

Live Oak Plantation went to $450,000 to purchase a filly out of multiple stakes-placed Chocolate Pop from the Paramount Sales consignment a few hips later.

Bred by Camas Park Stud and Lynch Bages, the filly is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner and Grade I-placed Airoforce with stakes performers under each of her four dams on the page.

That group includes three-time Grade I winner Sea Cadet, Grade I winner Grandeza, Grade II winner On Target and others.

Chocolate Pop had a Practical Joke filly this year and visited Tiz The Law for 2023.

Legion Bloodstock was the agent for Hoolie Racing on a $425,000 colt offered by Eaton Sales out of Grade III-placed Bureau de Change.

That mare gave the yearling an update after the catalog was released with her American Pharoah filly Dawn Pharoah placing in late July and another daughter increasing her earnings. This colt is also a grandson of Grade III winner Fencelineneighbor, who produced stakes winner Barbie Wire and two stakes-placed runners from five winners.

Led by his $1.5 million session topper, Uncle Mo had five yearlings sell for $425,000 or more at the Saratoga sale with an average of $530,000 and median of $437,500 from eight sold over the two days.
