A stakes-winner at two and still going strong at age five, Forevamo (5g Uncle Mo x Candlelightdinner, by Slew Gin Fizz) scored a narrow victory in the $150,000 Zia Park Championship on Wednesday.
Trained by Steve Asmussen, Forevamo scored a head win in the 1 and 1/8th mile contest taking his overall record to three wins and 11 placings from 23 starts with prizemoney topping $500,000.
A $320,000 OBS April 2YO Sale purchase, Forevamo runs for Brittlyn Stables and is a half-brother to Champion Female Sprinter and dual Grade I winner Musical Romance from good producer Candlelightdinner.
