More Stakes Success for Munnings Sprinter

Chief Cicatriz (6g Munnings x Super Buggy, by Grand Slam) has an impressive win strike rate and posted his tenth victory in the $50,000 Dark Star Cup at Canterbury on Sunday.

Trained by Shawn Davis, Chief Cicatriz won the Grade III Aristides Stakes at Churchill Downs last summer before being sidelined through injury.

He has gradually come back to form this year and was impressive in coasting clear for a soft two and three-quarter length win in this six and a half furlong sprint.

Chief Cicatriz has an overall record of 10 wins and a second from 15 starts with prizemoney in excess of $344,000.

Chief Cicatriz is from Super Buggy, a half-sister to the dam of Grade I winner Suggestive Boy.
