Dream Tree (Uncle Mo) winning the G2 Prioress at Saratoga

More Stakes Success for Undefeated Dream Tree

Quality filly Dream Tree (3f Uncle Mo x Afleet Maggi, by Afleet Alex) kept her unbeaten record intact when she scored a dominant win in the $250,000 Grade II Prioress Stakes at Saratoga on Sunday.

The Bob Baffert trained filly was resuming from a lengthy layoff and was making her first start outside of California. A Grade I winner last year at two, she stalked the leader and then challenged her from the half mile, drawing away to win the six furlong sprint by more than four lengths.

"Man, she brought it today,” said Bob Baffert. “She had been training so well and we were debating on running her [at Del Mar] in a stake on closing day or take her to Saratoga. We decided to give her a shot since she was doing so well. I'm just glad she shipped well and is still undefeated. That freshening really helped her. She's really matured a lot. She showed today how good she really is. It's pretty exciting.”

A sale ring veteran that made $80,000 as a weanling, then $225,000 as a yearling before finally fetching $750,000 at the Fasig-Tipton March 2YO Sale, Dream Tree runs for Phoenix Thoroughbred III.

A half-sister to stakes-placed O’Maggi from Afleet Maggi, Dream Tree has the overall record of five wins from five starts earning $527,500 in prizemoney
