Movisitor Newest Stakes Winner for Uncle Mo
Uncle Mo scored his 94th stakes winner on Monday when Movisitor (3c Uncle Mo x Ristretto, by Medaglia d’Oro) won the Crowd Pleaser Stakes at Parx.
Racing on dirt for the first time, Movisitor handled the change of surface well in the 1 1/16-mile race. He was happy to sit a few lengths off a dueling duo of leaders for the first half of the race as those two fought over who would control the pace. As they wore each other down, Adam Beschizza asked the colt to make his move and it didn’t take long before Movisitor was the front runner.
Beschizza kept after Movisitor down the stretch and with every stride, he extended his lead. Romping in the mud by 5 ½ lengths, Movisitor was 18 lengths ahead of the third placed runner as well.
Ed Vaughan trains the dark bay for F L I Racing with Movisitor racing almost exclusively in stakes since breaking his maiden last September.
Bred by Forgotten Land Investments, Movisitor is one of two winners from two to race out of Medaglia d’Oro mare Ristretto. A daughter of multiple Grade III winner and multiple Grade I placed Visit, Ristretto is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner Western Reserve with their dam out Broodmare of the Year Arrive – a full sister to bluehen mare Hasili.
Ristretto visited the Ashford breeding shed again in 2022 and had a filly by Triple Crown winner and rising superstar sire Justify on February 25.
The Uncle Mo x Medaglia d’Oro mare cross Movisitor is bred on has two stakes winners and five winners overall from seven runners.
Uncle Mo’s 94 worldwide stakes winners includes 50 graded stakes winners led by 13 Grade I winners including his studmates Golden Pal and Mo Town.
