Munnings Filly Brings $280,000 at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale

Breezing in :10.1 last week, Munnings’ daughter out of Cloudburst brought $280,000 from Bradley Thoroughbreds at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale on Tuesday.

Consigned by Julie Davies, the chestnut filly out of the stakes winning Cloudburst is a half-sister to stakes-placed Tempers Flair and the dam of stakes-placed Shanghai Rain.

From the family of champion Groovy, the Pursuit of Success-bred’s dam is also a half-sister to Champion 2-Year-Old Boston Harbor and the dam of stakes winner Devil In Disguise and Grade II-placed El Nino.

The 2-year-old is bred similar to Munnings’ Grade II winning duo Om and Catalina Red and stakes-placed Katalust and Reform School.

The sire of three Kentucky Oaks hopefuls in 2020, Munnings is the sire of five graded stakes winners and eight stakes winners this year.
