Munnings Offerings Led by $775,000 at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga
Tom Mccrocklin went to $775,000 to secure a Munnings filly out of Gold Medal Dancer on Monday at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale.
Purchased on behalf of Champion Equine from the Bedouin Bloodstock consignment, the filly was bred by Newstead Corp as the fourth foal out of the Grade II winner and Grade I-placed Gold Medal Dancer. That mare is a daughter of stakes winner and Grade III placed Bachata, who has produced seven winners from eight to race.
Bachata is a half-sister to the dams of stakes winner and Grade I placed Meadow Dance and stakes winners Bron and Brow and Emily’s Lollipop.
Gold Medal Dancer had an Uncle Mo colt on April 5 as well.
A Munnings colt out of Haddie Be Gold sold to Legion Bloodstock from the Taylor Made Sales consignment for $300,000 on Monday.
A multiple stakes winner herself, Haddie Be Good is also the dam of the stakes winning Story To Tell and a half-sister to the stakes placed Sixpack of Kings.
Bred by Craig Singer, this colt has a strong page with the horses named including Grade I winners Sam’s Sister, Sweet Talker, Include Me Out, Check The Label, and more.
Munnings’ five sold at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale averaged $361,000, over nine-times the stud fee they were conceived on.
