New Stakes-Winner for Munnings
A hot run of success for Munnings continued over the weekend with Big Champion (5g Munnings x Mizoes Ready, by More Than Ready) taking out the $55,950 Albany Stakes at Golden Gate Fields.
Trained by Michael Curtis, Big Champion forged clear to win the five furlong sprint by more than two lengths taking his overall record to two wins and four placings from nine starts.
Big Champion is the 26th stakes-winner for Munnings and is from Mizoes Ready, a half-sister to stakes-winner Hungarian Boatbaby.
He is the third stakes-winner this month for Munnings following on from Chief Cicatriz and Wings Locked Up.
