Lady Day Blues is New Winner for Uncle Mo
Leading First Crop Sire Uncle Mo added a new winner to his tally when improving filly Lady Day Blues (2f Uncle Mo x Emma Song, by Unbridled’s Song) scored at Keeneland on Wednesday.
Fourth on debut back in August and then second at Churchill Downs on September 13, the Kenny McPeek trained filly has improved with race experience and finished the best to claim a half-length victory in the seven furlong maiden.
A $75,000 Keeneland September Yearling purchase, Lady Day Blues runs for Siena Farm and is the first winner for Emma Song, a daughter of Grade III winner Advancing Star.
Lady Day Blues is the 12th Northern Hemisphere bred winner for Champion 2YO Uncle Mo, who is excelling with his first runners this year.
