Peruvian Grade One Winner for Footsteps
Promising filly Sand Bijou (3f Footstepsinthesand x Bijou Emper, by Emperor Jones) provided Footstepsinthesand with a new Grade I winner when she took out the Clasico Enrique Ayulo Pardo in Peru on the weekend.
Prepared by Alfonso Arias, she surged clear to win the 2000 metre feature by a length, her overall record now two wins and a second from four starts.
She is the first stakes-winner for Bijou Emper, a Grade II placed daughter of dual Grade I winner Nice Bijou.
Sand Bijou is the 40th stakes-winner worldwide for Footstepsinthesand.
