Plot the Dots Continues Uncle Mo’s Hot Start
Uncle Mo’s fast start to the year continued on Saturday when Plot the Dots (6g Uncle Mo x Lady of Gold, by Medaglia d’Oro) won the Jennings Stakes at Laurel Park.
Trained by owner Norman Cash, Plot The Dots was slow out of the gate in the one-mile dirt race as Jevian Toledo let him set his own pace with just two horses beat. Moving closer down the backstretch, Plot the Dots was asked to get serious around the far turn and he happily responded.
Racing six wide to grab the lead, no one was a match for the gelding and he quickly distanced the rest of the field. In the end, Plot the Dots was five lengths in front to earn his first career stakes victory.
The Elkstone Group-bred gelding is now the winner of eight races with nine other top three finishes in 33 starts for $436,716 in earnings. Before today, he’d also earned multiple stakes performers with both coming in 2022 when he’d made 15 starts.
Plot the Dots is out of the multiple graded stakes placed Lady Of Gold, who is out of a half-sister to champion Lawyer Ron.
Uncle Mo’s three stakes winners this year is best among all stallions with his three stakes performers second best as well. Plot the Dots is the 88th stakes winner for the top stallion, ninth best of all active North American sires with each stallion ahead of him at least four years older than him.
