Saratoga Success for Declaration of War
Exciting young War Front son Declaration of War had just two entries from his first crop of yearlings for the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga August Sale and both were sold on Monday for $250,000 and $200,000.
Consigned by Eaton Sales, the filly from Grade II winner Nasty Strom made $250,000 when secured by Cromwell Bloodstock.
A few lots earlier, a colt from Miss Childrey made $200,000 for Gainesway when bought by Dylan Vernosa.
The handsome bay colt is a half-brother to European Group winners Waterloo Bridge and Forces of Darkness from good producing stakes-winner Miss Childrey.
