Scharbauer Buys $675,000 Justify Filly at Keeneland September

A $675,000 filly out of stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed Milam was the most expensive of Book 2 for Justify at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale when selling to Douglas Scharbauer.

Consigned by Eaton on behalf of WinStar Farm Bred and Raised, the filly is the fifth for Milam, who has seen one of her two to race win. Bred by Breeze Easy, the colt is out of a half-sister to Grade I-placed Luminance and a full sister to multiple graded stakes placed Stellar Sound with the trio out of Siren Serenade. Out of multiple Grade I winner Versailles Treaty, Siren Serenade is a half-sister to Grade I winner George Vancouver and Grade II winner Saarland.

One of Versailles Treaty’s daughters is also the granddam of the Grade I-winning Mongolian Groom.
