Second Winner for Lookin at Lucky

There was nothing lucky about the win of Lucky Player (2c Lookin at Lucky x Janetstickettocats, by Storm Cat), who scored a dominant debut victory at Churchill Downs. Despite his rider Ricardo Santana losing his whip, the Steve Asmussen trained Lucky Player travelled sweetly in third before surging clear to win the five furlong maiden by a length and three-quarters. Raced by Jerry Durant, Lucky Player is the first winner for Janetstickettocats, a half-sister by Storm Cat to Grade II winner Runway Model. Lucky Player is the second winner for Champion Two and Three Year Old Colt Lookin at Lucky joining Lucky’stormwarning, who won on debut at Gulfstream earlier this month.
