Sixth Grade One Winner for Lookin at Lucky
Shuttling to South America has proven a great success for former Champion US Two and Three Year Old Lookin at Lucky, who sired El Picaro (2c Lookin at Lucky x La Sinverguenza by Scat Daddy) to win the Grade I Clasico Alberto Vial Infante at Hippdomo Chile on Friday, also giving the late great Scat Daddy his first Grade I winner as a broodmare sire.
Trained by Patricio Baeza, El Picaro led home a Grade I exacta for his sire in winning the 1m turf feature by three lengths over Top Lucky (2c Lookin at Lucky x Topisima, by Powerscourt).
El Picaro has three wins and a second from just four starts and this was his first Black Type success making him the 36th stakes-winner for Lookin at Lucky and his sixth Grade I winner.
El Picaro is from unraced La Sinverguenza, a full sister to Scat Daddy’s Champion 2YO Filly and Grade I winner Cimalta and half-sister to triple Grade I winner El Farrero.
