Stakes Success for Private Tale
Posting his first Black Type win in the $75,000 Native Dancer Stakes at Laurel was Private Tale (5g Tale of the Cat x Taint by Private Account).
Trained by Michael J Trombetta, Private Tale surged clear to win the 1 and 1/16th mile contest by three parts of a length taking his overall record to six wins and four placings from 14 starts with prizemoney in excess of $230,000.
The 84th stakes-winner for Tale of the Cat, Private Tale is the first stakes-winner for stakes-placed Taint, a half-sister by Private Account to Grade I winners Queens Court Queen and Mr Purple.
Tale of the Cat also had an up and comer salute at Gulfstream with three year-old filly Twice Told Tale (3f Tale of the Cat x Dance to Dawn, by Louis Quartorze) scoring her second win from three starts.
