Stakes Winning Easter Lily Sells for $850,000 In Foal to Justify

Mares in-foal to Justify were in high demand at Fasig-Tipton’s November Sale on Tuesday when his second mare through the ring brought $850,000 from China Horse Club International.

A stakes winning Galileo mare, the 4-year-old Easter Lily was consigned by Taylor Made Sales as Hip 110 with a February 13 cover to Justify for her first foal. The mare is a full sister to stakes winner Circling and out of stakes winner Chanting, who is a daughter of Grade II winner and two-time Grade I placed Golden Reef.

Golden Reef’s daughters and granddaughters have proven to be successful producers during their time in the shed. In addition to Chanting, three other daughters have produced stakes winners with one being the dam of Grade III-winning Sassy Sienna.

Justify is the only Triple Crown winner to retire undefeated and was named Horse of the Year off of a campaign that saw him win four Grade I races in six starts.
