Success Continues for Classic Empire at Keeneland November

A top Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale continued for Champion Classic Empire on Sunday when Hip 1709 was purchased for $115,000 by Windylea Farm NY.

Consigned by Paramount Sales, the Mt. Sackville Bloodstock New York-bred filly is out of Grade III-placed Tristanme, who has produced three winners from four to race.

Tristanme is a half-sister to stakes winners Regiment and Eternal Cup and the dam of stakes winning Full Rigged with two other siblings stakes placed. This is also the family of Grade III winner Alcovy.

Classic Empire’s first weanlings have proven to be highly in demand with buyers this week with the three-time Grade I winner’s 17 sold through the first five sessions of the sale averaging $130,412, a price over 6.5 times his stud fee.
