Tapitry $400,000 In-Foal Mare for Uncle Mo

Mares in foal to Uncle Mo proved to be popular during the third session of the Keeneland November Sale when Tapitry was the fourth most expensive broodmare offering of the sale, following Daveron selling for the second highest price of a broodmare.

Consigned by Gainesway, the mare sold for $400,000 to Walmac Farm.

A Grade II placed mare, Tapitry is one of two winners for Grade I winning My Trusty Cat. Stakes success runs through the family with each of Tapitry’s first three dams winning or placing in stakes with her second dam producing four stakes winners or stakes producers.

A leading sire throughout his stallion career, Uncle Mo’s 10 stakes winners this year include dual Grade I winner Bast and Grade II winners Mo Forza, Moon Colony, and Epical.
