Top Result For Uncle Mo at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale

Continuing a strong sales season for leading sire Uncle Mo, a stunning colt by the stallion lit up the ring on Wednesday at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale when selling for $410,000 to take over the sale lead half-way through session.

Bred by Meg Dumaine, the colt out of Picardia was purchased by Mike Ryan from the Indian Creek consignment. Mike Ryan has already found success with Uncle Mo's runners as part of a team that purchased his Kentucky Derby winning son Nyquist as a yearling for $230,000.

The colt is the second foal out of his Stormy Atlantic dam, who is a half-sister to the Grade I winning pair of Lear’s Princess and Pretty City Dancer. His third dam Pretty Special produced nine winners including Grade I winner My Big Boy and stakes winning Forever Command.

Current plans call for the colt to join the barn of Chad Brown next year.
