Uncle Mo Daughter Top Filly of Second Fasig-Tipton Session

The second session of the Fasig-Tipton October Yearlings Sale on Tuesday saw an Uncle Mo filly out of Song of the Lark become the most expensive filly of the sale when bringing $450,000 from West Bloodstock as agent for Repole and St. Elias.

The Sam-Son Farm homebred offered by her breeder is a half-sister to the Canadian Horse of the Year and Grade I winner Up With The Birds and the stakes winning Speightsong. After the catalog was released, the filly also saw her half-brother Strike a Beat give Song of the Lark her fifth winner from seven to race.

Song of the Lark is out of the Canadian champion and U.S. Grade I winner Wilderness Song, who also produced Grade II-placed Go to the Sun and the dam of stakes winner Mulmur.

Uncle Mo’s 2021 yearlings have sold for an average of $293,013, led by a $1.6 million colt and $1.1 million filly.
