Uncle Mo Duo Impress at Fasig-Tipton
A pair of Uncle Mo daughters were among the most in-demand offerings at this week’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale, led by the second most expensive in-foal mare of the sale.
Audrey’s Time was a $525,000 purchase by Imaginary Partners from the Vinery Sales consignment on behalf of the Lothenbach Stable dispersal. Carrying her first foal, the stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed mare is a half-sister to Grade I-placed Silverpocketsfull and out of multiple graded stakes winner Unforgotten. Unforgotten is one of three stakes performers out of her own stakes performing dam Forgotten Secret.
On the track, Audrey’s Time won four of her 19 starts with six other top three finishes for $326,393 in earnings. The mare won the Joseph E. Spanky Broussard Memorial in 2021 one start after finishing third in the Grade II Falls City Stakes in her first graded stakes start. It was her second time through the ring with Audrey’s Time selling for $185,000 as a yearling as well.
Hill n Dale at Xalapa went to $300,000 to purchase Mo Clare’s from the same owners less than 10 hips later.
The mare was another stakes winner for Uncle Mo when she won her stakes debut in the Brookmeade Stakes in 2022 as one of four career victories and five other top three finishes in her career. Retiring with earnings of $199,224, she is one of two stakes winners out of Claire’s Song with the mare also producing Uncle Mo’s stakes placed Tan and Tight from her four to race.
Mo Clare's comes from a top family with her Grade III winning second dam Chimchurri the dam of Grade III-placed Surprise Boss and multiple successful daughters. Chimchurri’s daughter Loving Vindication is the dam of Canadian Horse of the Year Wonder Gadot and Grade I winner Hard Not to Love while another daughter produced Grade I winner Secret Spice.
Audrey’s Time and Mo Clare’s are two of 98 worldwide stakes winners and 189 stakes performers for Uncle Mo with those stakes winners coming in six different countries.
