Uncle Mo Mare Sells for $500,000 In Keeneland Book 2
Book 2 of the Keeneland November Sale saw Uncle Mo strike again when he sired the fifth most expensive mare of the group.
Purchased by Silesia Farm for $500,000, the Grade III-placed 4-year-old was consigned by Four Star Sales in-foal to Authentic. Impeccable Style is a granddaughter of stakes winner Bisbee’s Prospect, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Taste The Passion. That mare has produce three different stakes winners, led by Stopshoppingdebbie.
"She was a beautiful physical, which are selling across the board right now whether it's mares, yearlings, or foals; you really have to have a good physical," Hunter Simms, who signed the ticket on behalf of Silesia’s behalf, told Blood-Horse. "Being in foal to Authentic was very attractive to us. Her race record makes her the whole package and what we are looking for."
Through three sessions, Uncle Mo’s 17 sold have a median of $350,000 and average of $287,941, led by the $500,000 mare. He has also seen his seven mares in foal sell for an average of $312,857 led by the $550,000 A Z Warrior.
