Uncle Mo Represented by $380,000 Filly at Fasig-Tipton

Mill Ridge Sales was the consignor of a $380,000 Uncle Mo filly at the Fasig-Tipton October Yearlings Sale, the second highest priced filly of the sale.

Purchased by Tom McCrocklin as agent for Champion Equine, she is a half-sister to this year’s Grade I American Pharoah third Be You and stakes-placed American West in addition to Justify’s winning Condone. The trio are out of Grade III winner Jacarada, a half-sister to dual Grade I winner and leading sire Constitution and Grade II winner Boynton among others.

All four dams on the page have produced stakes performers with Jacaranda’s granddam not only the dam of Jacaranda’s Grade III placed dam Baffled but also Grade I winner Emcee and Grade II winner Surfer in addition to stakes winner Spring Party.

Many of Surf Club’s daughters have also produced stakes winners while her own dam produced Grade I winner Awesome Humor.

Uncle Mo’s 13 stakes winners and 32 stakes performers in 2023 include three Grade I winners and five graded stakes winners.
