Uncle Mo’s Adare Manor Sells for $2.8 Million at Fasig-Tipton
Uncle Mo’s three-time Grade I winner Adare Manor is headed to Japan after she was snapped up for $2.8 million by Katsumi Yoshida at this year’s Fasig-Tipton November Sale.
“She looked gorgeous,” said Shingo Hashimoto immediately after signing the ticket for Yoshida. “I thought she was one of the best fillies in the market this time, so we're very excited. We're going to take her back to Japan.”
Consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale, Adare Manor won 10 of her 18 starts with five other top three finishes to end her career with $2,096,600 in earnings. This year was a banner year for the 5-year-old, who won three of her four starts – including two Grade Is with a second in the Grade I Beholder Mile as well. In all, Adare Manor won eight stakes events in her career.
Another Uncle Mo daughter to light up the ring was Envoutante, who was purchased by Case Clay Thoroughbred Management for $1.8 million from the Gainesway consignment.
The earner of just under $1 million, Envoutante won six of her 20 career starts with seven other top three finishes. Those victories included four stakes with a Grade I placing to her name as well. The 7-year-old foaled a Gun Runner filly last year and was sent to Into Mischief on a February 24 cover in 2024.
Hot and Sultry sold to WinStar Farms and Lindy Farms for $1.4 million in foal to Uncle Mo as the only mare on offer carrying a foal by the stallion.
Hot and Sultry was a Grade III winner who also has a Grade I placing to her name with $621,620 in earnings. The 5-year-old is one of five stakes performers out of Hot Water with the group including Grade III winner Scalding and stakes winners Hot Beach and Tracksmith. Hot and Sultry is also a great-granddaughter of the champion Xtra Heat.
Uncle Mo was the sire of seven offerings sold at Fasig-Tipton with the group averaging $860,000.
