Uncle Mo’s Kuchar Tops Fasig-Tipton Horses of All Ages
Uncle Mo son Kuchar (3c Uncle Mo x Street Girl, by Street Hero) was the top selling offering at Fasig-Tipton’s Selected Horses of All Ages Sale on Monday night when Steve Young went to $500,000 to secure the multiple stakes placed runner.
A son of stakes winner and multiple Grade I-placed Street Girl, Kuchar has finished on the board in all but one start and came into the ring after finishing second in the American Derby on July 2.
Offered by WinStar Racing, the colt broke his maiden in march before going on to finish second in the Listed Oaklawn Stakes in his next start.
“He is a proven and improving 3-year-old,” Young told Thoroughbred Daily News. “If he improves in the next three months as much as he improved in the last three months, he will be a nice horse.”
Kuchar has a 2-year-old Justify half-brother named Maverick Anthony to come.
Young said Kuchar will be headed up to New York now, the same circuit where Uncle Mo’s Mo Donegal won the Grade I Belmont Stakes last month.
