Uncle Mo’s Mo Don’t No Joins Millionaire Club
It was a 20th career victory and third Buckeye Cup Stakes victory on Saturday for Mo Don’t No (7g Uncle Mo x Lilah, by Defrere) as the consistent gelding pushed his earnings over the $1 million mark.
Closing out the card in the 1 ¼ mile dirt race, Mo Don’t No was happy to race around the track in third as King Creed set the pace. A veteran runner, Mo Don’t No was happy to bide his time and slowly move up around the turn to join a brief duel for the lead.
Wide throughout the run, Mo Don’t No had the lead by the time they swung into the stretch and it was easy work from there. Jockey Jose Bracho gave him a few taps in the stretch but the gelding knew his job and galloped to an easy 2¼ length victory.
Trained by Jeffrey Radosevich for Ron Paolucci Racing, Mo Don’t No has won 20 of his 43 starts with 13 other on the board finishes for $1,047,110 in earnings.
Bred by Beechwood Racing Stable, Mo Don’t No is one of two stakes winners for Grade III winner Lilah, who also produced Listed winning Takechargedelilah and Grade I-placed Big Blue Nation along with the dam of Listed winners Midtowncharlybrown and Midnightcharly.
A leading sire year in and year out, Uncle Mo has sired 10 stakes winners and 24 stakes horses in 2020, the second most stakes winners and graded stakes horses of any North American sire in 2020 along with having the third most stakes horses of any sire this year.
