$300,000 Justify Colt Sells at Adelaide MM
The highest priced colt sold at the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Monday was a son of Justify that sold for $300,000 to the bid of Anthony Freedman Racing Pty Ltd/Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock.
Consigned by Rushton Park on behalf of his breeder Linda Huddy of Peachester Lodge, the colt is the first foal from Group II placed Savabeel mare Shop Til I Drop (NZ), a close relation of Group II winner Splurge and stakes-winner Tilianam with second and third dams Shopaholic and Splashing Out also both Group winners.
"We are thrilled with the result," breeder Linda Huddy said. "The colt had developed nicely leading into the sale and was beautifully presented. "He's from one of our nice young stakes placed mares - the sort you love to breed with. It was a great result being her first foal."
Shop Til I Drop was back at Coolmore again last spring to visit Yes Yes Yes.
Justify has one more yearling to be offered at this sale on Tuesday.
