450,000 guineas for Justify Colt
The Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 this week featured a small number of yearlings by Triple Crown hero Justify with a colt from Hourglass producing his best result when selling for 450,000 guineas.
Consigned by Baroda Stud, the China Horse Club bred colt was bought by Elliott/McElroy and is a colt with a serious stallion’s pedigree.
He is from blue blood Galileo mare Hourglass, a half-sister to champion miler and sire Shamardal from the family of Dubai World Cup winner and champion sire Street Cry.
The first Southern Hemisphere bred yearlings by Justify will be offered at Australasian sales in 2022.
The powerhouse chestnut is back in Australia this spring at a fee of $55,000.
