I Feel Lucky
His arrival is one of the most anticipated in the Hunter Valley this spring.
Coolmore young gun Lookin at Lucky was a racehorse of rare talent in being crowned Champion US 2YO and 3YO and is the first son of champion US sire Smart Strike to stand in Australia.
His first public appearances this weekend will undoubtedly win over broodmare owners and he’s already being supported by many astute breeders such as – Glen Burrows, Tyreel, George Altamonte, Harry Perks, Joy Jenkins, Keith Biggs, Fred Peisah, Michael and Gail Crismale, Steve Young, Reavill, John Cordina, David Moodie, Denis and Claire O’Brien, Tony Bott, John Camilleri, Gilgai Farm, Gooree, The Ingham Family, Greg and Jenny White, David Bentata, Senga Bissett, Brian Bradley etc.
‘The stallions have arrived looking great, so full credit to the guys who have been looking after them in quarantine. They are a good natured bunch of horses and take the travelling well, which is important as they have a busy season ahead of them. We are looking forward to showing the horses to our guests over the weekend and I’m sure they will be very impressed by what they see,” said Tom Magnier
‘Obviously we were excited to see Lookin At Lucky in particular and he’s a very good looking horse so I’m delighted.
“He’s set to cover a lovely book of mares this year including the dam of Manawanui, so he’ll enjoy a good start.
“It’s the first time that Starspangledbanner has been ‘home’ in over a year, but he certainly looks to have thrived on the time that he spent in Europe. It’s an exciting time!”
