£160,000 Flemensfirth 4yo heads DBS sale
Point-to-point winner Padge (4g Flemensfirth-Mona Vic, by Old Vic) was the star turn at DBS’s boutique sale at Newbury on Saturday night when selling for £160,000.
William and Angela Rucker bought the son of Flemensfirth, who is set to join trainer Evan Williams. “He’s a lovely horse and will be turned out to grass before we bring him back next season,” said Williams.
Padge, who was bred by Kathleen Lee, was saddled by Donnchadh Doyle to win a point-to-point at Punchestown on February 2 and showed a handsome profit on the £16,000 he had cost as a three-year-old at Doncaster in May.
