Black-type for Soldier Of Fortune mare

Classy mare Amie Noire (5m Soldier Of Fortune- Autriche, by Acatenango) brought down the curtain on her highly successful racing career with a Listed victory at Bro Park in Sweden on Sunday. Trained by Norwegian ace Wido Neuroth, and ridden by his son Jan-Erik, Amie Noire has now won three times in black-type company after this success in the Listed Coolmore Matchmaker Stakes.

The Soldier Of Fortune mare will now retire to the paddocks and the winning rider commented: “Amie Noire has meant a lot to me through my career and it was great that she showed how good she was in her last start.”

Wido Neuroth added: “She is now done on the racetrack and will go to stud. She is a fantastic mare with a lovely temperament.”
