Daughter Of Yeats Impresses In Maiden Hurdle
The improving Nos Na Gaoithe (5m Yeats - Peggy Cullen, by Presenting) proved a class above her rivals in Monday’s maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe.
A debut bumper winner last season, the Willie Mullins-trained mare placed on her first two starts over hurdles and was sent off favourite on her first start since June. Making all under Danny Mullins, she boasted a sizeable advantage at halfway and was shaken up on the run-in to score by 13 lengths.
“Nos Na Gaoithe has ran with plenty of credit on both runs so far,” the winning rider commented after the race. “She's learned from those two starts and is developing all the time now.”
The daughter of Yeats is owned by Syndicates Racing and was bred by Killian Traynor.
