First foal for Leading Light

The first foal by Coolmore N.H. stallion Leading Light was born at Grange Stud when Kapricia Speed produced a very smart-looking bay filly at Grange Stud. "She's a quality filly with plenty of size and scope," said Albert Sherwood. Kapricia Speed (Vertical Speed) is a half-sister to Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle winner Geos and Grade 3-winning hurdler and Grade 1-placed chaser in France Kapgarde.

Leading Light, a son of Montjeu and Queen Mary Stakes winner Dance Parade, won 8 races at 2, 3 and 4 years including the St Leger Stakes at Doncaster and the Ascot Gold Cup.
