Red Acres Georgie (Order Of St George) winning at Ballindenisk

Four More Point-to-Point Incentive Winners

The penultimate weekend of the point-to-point season saw four more qualifiers for the Coolmore N.H. Sires incentive all having bred 4YO Maiden winners including a brace from the first crop of Order of St George.

At Taylorstown last Saturday Orderoftheday (Order of St George), bred by Sean Gorman, put in an exhibition round of jumping to win the 4YO Geldings Maiden for Sean Doyle. Just four days later at Doncaster he was purchased for £125,000 by bloodstock agent Aiden Murphy and trainer son Olly.

The following day at Ballindenisk Red Acres Georgie (Order of St George), bred by Tommy Frisby, had no problem defeating geldings to win the 4YO Maiden by 14 lengths for handler Mick Goff. Another to travel over to the Goffs Spring Sale, Red Acres Georgie was secured by Tony Mullins for £100,000.

Order of St George’s number of 4YO point-to-point winners in Ireland in his first season now stands at five with another pair in the UK bringing his total to seven.

A weekend has hardly gone by without a smart winner of Walk In The Park and so it proven again with Golan Loop, bred by Ben McCabe, winning the first division of the 4YO Maiden at Stradbally for Donnchadh Doyle.

The second division was won by the Edmond & Mark Coleman-bred newcomer Local Derby (Soldier of Fortune) trained by Jonathan Fogarty.
