Red Acres Georgie (Order of St George) Wins The 4 Yo Maiden At Ballindenisk

Four-Year-Old Double For Order Of St George

Order Of St George’s first crop recorded another two point-to-point maiden winners over the weekend, including impressive Ballindenisk heroine Red Acres Georgie (4m Order Of St George – Redacresruby, by Presenting).

The Michael Goff-trained mare looked the likely winner when falling at the second last on debut and was sent off favourite to gain redemption in Sunday’s four-year-old maiden. She led from five out under Mikey Sweeney and went on to score by 14 lengths.

A trip to the sales is now on the agenda for the Tommy Frisby-bred winner.

At Taylorstown the previous day, Orderoftheday (4g Order Of St George – Jolie Landaise, by Beaudelaire) landed the four-year-old geldings maiden for Sean Doyle.

A debut third the previous month, he was sent off favourite on his second start and raced in midfield for much of the way under Jamie Scallan. Improving to dispute from four out, he kept on gamely from the final fence to win by a head, with another eight and a half lengths back to the third.

The progressive four-year-old was bred by Sean Gorman.
