G2 victory for Milan

The Paparrazi Kid (6g Milan-Banbury Cross, by Supreme Leader) brought more graded success for Milan on Thursday when leading home a 1-2-3 for trainer Willie Mullins in the G2 Greenmount Park Novice Chase at Limerick. Mullins’ nephew Emmet steered the six-year-old to a length and a half victory over stablemate Felix Yonger (7g Oscar-Marble Sound, by Be My Native) in the colours of Byerly Thoroughbred Racing. “I fancied The Paparazzi Kid to finish second to Felix Yonger and knew that if things didn't go right for him, I'd have a chance,” said the winning rider. “It wasn't the plan to make the running but he winged the first and landed in front. He was electric everywhere and I was able to fill him up turning in. He is improving all the time and loves that ground.” The Paparazzi Kid, who was bred by Pat O’Donovan, was bought for 32,000 euros as a three-year-old by Peter Doyle Bloodstock.
