Game Son Of Idaho Lands Four-Year-Old Maiden

Long Branch (4g Idaho – Carabora, by Smadoun) took a step forward on his second start to win Saturday’s four-year-old maiden at Tralee.

Peter Flood’s charge tracked the leaders for much of the way under Georgie Benson and improved to lead with three fences left to jump. Challenged at the final fence, he dug deep on the run-in to prevail by a length on the line, as the front pair battled eight lengths clear of the remainder.

The first crop son of Idaho was bred by Ballinaroone Stud out of a full-sister to Nacarat.
