Getaway Gelding Now Two From Two Under Rules

Below The Radar (6g Getaway – Benfaithful, by Beneficial) made it two from two for Paul Nicholls when making a smart hurdle debut at Hereford on Monday.

The Getaway gelding joined Nicholls following narrow defeats on both his starts for Francesca Poste, and won a bumper on his first start under rules earlier this season. He was well-supported ahead of the Novices’ Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs, with the market headed by Grade 2 performer Rock House (Westerner). The bay raced prominently throughout under Harry Cobden and was asked to quicken from the second last. He led at the final flight and kept on well on the run-in to beat Monks Meadow (Milan) by three and a quarter lengths.

Below The Radar is owned by Hemmings Racing and was bred by Shane McGuckin.
