Getaway Mare Caps Memorable Day For Connections

Monday saw Irish point-to-point winner Get Sky High (6m Getaway - Tell Me Emma, by Beneficial) record her first bumper win and, in turn, completed a four-timer for the Skelton team at Stratford.

Successful on her sole start for Denis Murphy, the daughter of Getaway finished third at Newcastle on her first start for Dan Skelton and went on to finish second at Kempton last month. Sent off favourite on her return to turf, she had a three length advantage with three furlongs left to race and was ridden approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well under Harry Skelton, she won by a length and three quarters, with the first two drawing 13 lengths clear of the field.

Owned by Mr and Mrs Gordon Pink, Get Sky High was bred by Patrick Kelly out of a full-sister to the useful Mister Marker.
