Impressive Four Year Old Winner By Walk In The Park

Mel Monroe (4f Walk In The Park - Laciarash, by Stowaway) created a fine impression on debut when running out a clear winner of the four-year-old mares maiden at Monksgrange.

Owned, trained and ridden by Harley Dunne, the daughter of Walk In The Park made all of the running and boasted a five length advantage by the second last. Extending her advantage from then on, she went on to score by ten lengths with ease.

Mel Monroe was bred by Seamus Murphy out of a half-sister to high-class chaser Abolitionist (Flemensfirth) and to the dam of this season’s Grade 1-winning novice hurdler Minella Cocooner (Flemensfirth).
