Impressive Front Running Success For Son Of Yeats
Tuesday saw the Emma Lavelle-trained Hang In There (5g Yeats - Jaldemosa, by Cadoudal) gain just rewards when running out an impressive winner of his maiden hurdle at Exeter on Tuesday.
Placed on his hurdle debut for Margaret Mullins in April, he was subsequently sold to Gerry Hogan Bloodstock for £60,000 and is now owned by Tim Syder and Andrew Gemmell. He was very unlucky when carried out and unseating on his stable debut earlier in the month and was sent off joint-favourite on Tuesday.
Racing over two miles and one furlong, he made all under Adam Wedge and was in command from three out, racing home strongly to win by seven lengths.
Bred by Daniel Furini, Hang In There is closely related to Cork Grand National winner Logical Song.
