Impressive Getaway Filly Makes It Two From Two

Aston Martini (4f Getaway - Gabriella Rose, by Kayf Tara) proved a class above her rivals when making it two from two in the mares’ maiden hurdle at Hereford on Tuesday.

The Nicky Henderson-trained bay ran out a commanding winner of a fillies’ bumper on debut and was sent off favourite when stepping up to two and a half miles on return. Tracking the leader under Nico de Boinville, she led from the second last and began to draw clear from the final flight, going on to win by nine lengths.

The daughter of Getaway is owned by HP Racing and was bred by Goldford Stud.
