Impressive Juvenile Hurdle Winner For Pour Moi
Poucor (4g Pour Moi - Corinium, by Turtle Island) looks to have a bright future over hurdles after running out a wide margin winner of the Juvenile Maiden Hurdle at Hereford on Wednesday.
The Mick Channon-trained four-year-old benefitted from the experience of his hurdle debut at the end of December, in which he finished second to his stablemate. Once again ridden by Marc Goldstein, he chased a clear leader and waited until the third last flight to narrow the gap, leading at the next. Drawing clear, he extended his advantage to 15 lengths on the line.
Owned and bred by Derek and Jean Clee, Poucor comes from the third crop of Grange Stud sire Pour Moi, whose fee remains at €5,000 in 2019.
