Some Skye Wins The Listed Grand Prix De Fontainebleau

Improving Churchill Filly Gains First Stakes Success

Some Skye (3f Churchill – Some Spirit, by Invincible Spirit) finished well to record her first Stakes win in Saturday’s Listed Grand Prix de Fontainebleau at Chantilly.

The Pierre Groualle-trained filly came into the rescheduled contest off the back of a win, while she had come within a head of stakes success earlier in the season. Racing prominently throughout under Maxime Guyon, she ran on well to lead inside the final furlong and went on to beat the long-time leader by three parts of a length.

The win was well-timed, as Some Sky is entered in the upcoming Arqana December Sale, while her half-brother by Saxon Warrior sells at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale. Owned by Beaumelles Racing with Hubert Guy, the daughter of Churchill was bred by Ecurie des Monceaux and the GB Partnership.
