Could Be Trouble (Yeats) Wins The Mares Maiden Hurdle At Gowran Park

Improving Daughter Of Yeats Runs Out An Easy Winner

The progressive Could Be Trouble (6m Yeats- She’s No Trouble, by Zaffaran) proved a class above her rivals in the Mares Maiden Hurdle at Gowran Park on Friday.

The bay showed an admirable attitude on her first start for Barry Fitzgerald earlier this month, as she stayed on well into fifth at Punchestown, despite being hampered at the second last.

Well supported on her latest start, she chased the leaders for much of the two mile contest and asserted with ease approaching the third last. Ridden from the penultimate flight, she soon went clear to win by 15 lengths, providing Rochelle Murphy with her first success in the saddle.

Owned by Mrs Ashling Fitzgerald, the improving daughter of Yeats was bred by Mountainview Stud out of an own-sister to Looks Like Trouble.
