Improving Son Of Maxios Off The Mark At Ballindenisk
Glady Max (5g Maxios - Glady Romana, by Doyen) took a step forward to win Sunday’s maiden for five-year-olds and upwards at Ballindenisk.
Fifth on his first start between the flags last month, Jimmy Mangan’s charge was reunited with Johnny Hurley at the weekend and tracked the leader for much of the way. Leading from three out, he was headed at the next but battled back to regain the advantage at the final fence and kept on well to win by two and a half lengths. The second finished seven and a half lengths clear of the third.
Bred by Stall Oberlausitz, Glady Max sold for €80,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale.
