True Faith (Milan) Wins The Beginners Chase At Tramore

Improving Son Of Milan Lands Beginners Chase

True Faith (6g Milan - Toledana, by Protektor) took another step forward to justify favouritism in Thursday’s Beginners Chase at Tramore.

Runner-up on chase debut and third next time out, the Henry de Bromhead-trained bay was reunited with Rachael Blackmore on his latest start and raced prominently throughout. Ridden to lead after the second last, he was pushed out on the run-in to score by four and a quarter lengths, with another 12 lengths back to the third.

“He is a lovely big horse,” Blackmore commented after the race. “Hopefully he can progress further, he has taken to chasing well.”

Owned by Brian Acheson’s Robcour, the son of Grange Stud sire Milan was bought by Mags O’Toole at the store sales for €180,000. Bred by AV Bloodstock, he is a half-brother to four-year-old point-to-point winner Croke Park (Walk In The Park), who sold for £400,000 earlier this year.
