Improving Walk In The Park Filly Wins Second Start
The Mickaël Seror-trained Golden Park (3f Walk In The Park - Goldnella, by Goldneyev) showed a good turn of foot to win her second start in the Prix des Cadettes hurdle at Compiegne on Tuesday.
Having made her debut on heavy ground last month, she now raced on ground described as very soft and remained at the two mile trip. Held up at the back of the field by Ludovic Philipperon, the bay was given a patient ride, as Philipperon waited until the straight to make a challenge. Quickening with the bunched field approaching the turn for home, the filly accelerated impressively to lead at the final flight and ran on well to beat La Cafe Ine by a length. In fact, the runner-up won the race in which Golden Park made her debut in last month.
Owned by a partnership that includes her trainer and Madame Guy Seror, Golden Park was bred by Mat Daguzan-Garros.
