Leading Light Newcomer Quickens Clear At Dromahane

Kilbarry Leader (4m Leading Light - Eternal Lady, by Supreme Leader) made a fine impression when winning Sunday’s Four-Year-Old Mares’ Maiden at Dromahane.

The Con O’Keeffe-trained newcomer produced a challenge approaching the second last and soon asserted under Chris Donovan, before drawing clear to win by four lengths.

Owned by Mrs Con O’Keeffe and bred by the late Peter Magnier of Brittas House Stud, Kilbarry Leader may next be seen in a sales ring. From the family of Gaye Brief and Gaye Chance, the bay hails from the first crop of Grange Stud sire Leading Light.
